Website with 3D interactive matrix to explain the DML ecosystem and showcase all the work and team.
The Dark Matter Labs website is the front door to an unusually complex organization — one that resists the org-chart format entirely, mapping itself instead as a three-dimensional matrix.
The problem
DML describes the crises of our time as symptoms of a deeper, structural miscoding of our economic systems — and the organization is built around dozens of initiatives spanning currency, land, housing, and governance in response. Communicating that through a conventional sitemap doesn’t work. A flat list of projects says nothing about how they relate to each other.
What I built
As designer and developer, I built the 3D interactive matrix at the heart of the site: a navigable visualization of how Labs (domain-specific units like Beyond The Rules Lab and Capital Systems Lab), Arcs (directional programmes like Net Zero Cities), Studios (shared tooling and infrastructure), and Capabilities (the systemic goals connecting all of it) fit together — so a visitor can explore the ecosystem the way DML itself thinks about it, rather than through a flattened list of case studies.
